How do I schedule a lesson?

Please call the pool location you would like to attend and you will be able to schedule your lesson via telephone. If you would like to schedule a home lesson, please call the location closest to your home and let our staff member know you would like an instructor to come to your home.

How and when do I pay for the lesson?

All lessons must be paid on Monday, the first day of your lesson. You may pay by check or cash.

To help with the registration process, you may obtain our registration form from our website and have it completed upon your arrival.

Is there a registration fee?

No, Little Swimmers does not charge a registration fee.

What time should I arrive for my lesson?

Please arrive at our facility 15 to 25 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson. This will allow you time to finish dressing your child, apply sunblock, use restroom etc.

What happens if I’m late for my lesson?

Please call our office to let us know you are running late. Unfortunately, there are no make-ups for the time lost. Your lesson will begin immediately upon your arrival. Please keep in mind that the instructor will have another lesson immediately after your lesson.

What happens if I miss a class?

The only classes that will be made up are those that are canceled by Little Swimmers due to bad weather and if your child is sick. However, you must provide documentation from your doctor in order to reschedule any missed class(es) due to illness. Any missed make-up class will not be rescheduled and there will be no refunds.

Is it okay to feed my child before the lesson;

If yes, how soon before?

Yes, it’s okay. However, if you do please try to feed your child 1 ½ to 2 hours prior to the lesson. If possible, avoid feeding your child dairy products such as milk and yogurt. We suggest that you have snacks or lunch ready for your child after his/her lesson.

What should I bring for the lesson?

Please bring a bathing suit, sunblock and towel. If your child wears a diaper and is not potty trained it is mandatory that they wear a swim diaper while in the pool.

What happens if my child begins to cry?

It is normal for your child to cry. Remember, your child has just been introduced to a new environment. Our instructors will do their best to calm and comfort your child. It is best if you remain calm and in the seating area. This will allow the instructor to build a rapport with your child and the class will remain uninterrupted. Don’t worry; your child is in good hands.

What should I expect in 5 days?

Please understand that every child is different. Our main goal is that at the end of their lessons, the child can defend themselves in the water. For example, if the child falls into the water they can either swim to safety or float on their backs. A second week for some children may be necessary to master the skills needed for water safety. We encourage parents to continue practicing the skills learned at Little Swimmers so the child can continue to improve. Remember, practice makes perfect.

What types of lessons are offered?

Little Swimmers offers lessons in all skill levels, from beginners to advance. We also teach different strokes such as freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, breast stroke etc.
